Hungry and Tired

Halfway through my eighth week, while I seem to have largely dodged the morning sickness bullet, the two words above have characterized my pregnancy.

Since losing Sesame, the hunger and fatigue got a little less intense, presumably because my hCG levels have gone down somewhat.  Since twins’ in-utero weight gain slows earlier than singletons’, it makes sense that if you are pregnant with twins, your body wants you to gain weight sooner rather than later.  Starting around my BFP, I was just ridiculously hungry.  I ate more than I have ever eaten in my life, both healthy and unhealthy stuff.  As a result, I am up 6 pounds, and while some of that can be attributed to my new cup size (I’m up one already, to DD) and bloat, I’m sure some of it is “real” weight.

Now that I’m less tired and less desperate to eat everything in sight, I’ve been making it to the gym more regularly, and eating better.  Unfortunately, I have an aversion to most vegetables, fish, and meats right now, but I am trying to keep my intake of protein, fruits, and whole grains up.
