I am 12 weeks today.  I recently learned that there are three possible starts to the  second trimester, but this is the earliest, so I am going with it.

     I started telling people at work this week.  I am coming off of a very busy streak, so it seemed like a good time to tell.  A lot of people said, “Yeah, I guessed that.”  I’m not showing, but I guess I’ve been a little less hard-core at work.  It’s pretty typical for me to stay at work until 8 or 9 pm, and I guess in the worst of my fatigue, I was leaving a few hours earlier.  So much for secrecy!

     While I am not showing in my clothes, I have the tiniest bump below my belly button, and my pants are getting tight.  I took advantage of the Pea in the Pod sale this week to buy some elements of a new wardrobe—a couple of pairs of black pants, a wrap dress, and jeans.  I also bought a maternity swimsuit, which I may or may not need for our trip to Aruba in January, depending on when I “pop”.
